I hope you get sorted soon. Busking is an honorable profession and better than sitting round on your arse in front of the TV. You can help things happen, do a bit of busking around Denmark Street, London. Good luck for the new year.

i started doing some open mic nights locally..it has gone really well......
the busking will be my first time tomorrow......
wanted to do it in my local high st but the council were totally unhelpful......
might have to get my boxing gloves out.
as for the savings.they went ages ago.had to sell my pride and joy honda fireblade!!!!
i am not crying because i have had some good years......but my last job went tits and my boss stole the money that i had put into the biz.........what a hoon!
still-i prefer music to bonds and stocks....

a friend of mine is teaching English in Cambodia.(tefl).
i haven't been there myself but i have been to Thailand.
i have looked at teaching here but as i left school at 16 (i wanted to go to work so i started at a stockjobbers in the smoke) with just 'O' levels all i could get here is a teaching assistant or cover supervisor position.
the money is poor but it would be a start.
as for being better than here?

I got made redundant last year and have been temping since. It ain't such a bad gig - kinda liberating in that the 'bollox to this' argument works when down job club.
I ain't too bothered about dole and you shouldn't be either - we've fucking paid up for fucks sake and it's not as if we're meeting our chums down there like some of the cunts do.
Getting a job, one you want (yeah, been drinking) is a process, a campaign - you're gonna get knockbacks because it was sown up before you even got in the game. Fuck it - have a drink and move on.
