Your position is untenable and, I as a citizen of Great Briton demand your
instant resignation.
You are unelected, have no popular mandate and lack the moral authority
to be Prime Minister. Your terms as Chancellor and Prime Minister have
been a total disaster for this nation and your attempt to cling on to power
at all costs show a complete contempt for this nation and displays your
absolute vanity and thirst for political power.
I list below some of the mistakes made by you during your time in public
office. If as a director of a limited company you had made similar mistakes
you would be subject to criminal prosecution and banned from being a
company director. As a Government minister the standards exercised
should be significantly higher than those exercised by a company director,
you have failed to maintain those standards and are unfit for public office.
 Banking Supervision: You transferred responsibility for banking
supervision to the Financial Services Authority from the Bank of
England so directly laying the seeds of the current banking crisis.
 Banking Crisis: The initial response to the Northern Rock crisis was so
slow as to be glacial and ultimately led to the damage done to the
whole banking sector. A strong Prime Minister would have provided
depositors with a guarantee that their deposits were safe and the bank run would have stopped. Ultimately the same guarantee would
have ensured that the HBOS and RBS debacle would not have been
so severe.
 Criminal Negligence: The entire UK banking crisis has been caused by
a lack of supervision under the regulatory regime set up by you, any
man of honour would have resigned upon seeing the damage caused.

Vanity: You have used the banking crisis to attempt to advance your
personal standing and political career at the expense of the nation.
 Lack of Judgment: You have made three serious errors of judgment
in your appointment of advisers on the current financial crisis.
1. Your choice of banker to compile a report on ideas for improving
public health was Sir Derek Wanless. a Northern Rock director when
it imploded in 2007.
2. You appointed Sir James Crosby, the former HBOS CEO, to the board
of the FSA who then had to resign after becoming embroiled in the
row over failings of risk management at HBOS.
3. It now also appears that Glen Moreno will be forced out of his job, as
chairman of UK Financial Investments Ltd, the company set up to
oversee the government’s stake in the bailed-out banks, because of
his links with a Liechtenstein trust accused of tax evasion.
 You Fantasize: By clinging to the idea that, thanks to your genius British
citizens are far better placed than competitors to handle this crisis. The
following two facts demonstrate that this is a fantasy:-
1. The Office for National Statistics' revelation that while the number of
foreign workers getting jobs in the UK continues to grow (up by
175,000 to 2.4 million last year), domestic unemployment is rising
sharply.
2. According to Business Monitor International, a research company
specialising in country risk, "Britain is facing an unprecedented fall in
its economic world ranking… from 12th place in 2007 to 21st in
2010". "Despite enjoying 11 years of growth between 1997 and
2007, the UK ran a budget deficit of 1.7 per cent of GDP over this
period, fuelling a fiscal time bomb. Faced with the financial burden of
bailing out the banking sector and kick-starting the economy, the
budget deficit will swell to an unsustainable 9.3 per cent of GDP in
2009."
 Public spending: Your 2000 Spending Review presaged a major
expansion of government spending, without any significant benefit to
public services, directly leading to the UK being in the worst shape of
any industrialised nation to weather the current financial crisis.
 You have colluded in hiding the full extent of public borrowing by using
PFI initiatives to hide the borrowings off balance sheet. PFI is the most
expensive and inefficient form of finance possible, and you have
saddled the country with a debt that you cannot even quantify. Jeremy
Pocklington, leader of the Treasury’s corporate and private finance
team, could only give a rough estimate to Richard Bacon that the total
liabilities, but not debt, from the vast majority of PFIs, but not all, from
2006-07 to 2032-33, but not beyond, is £157.9bn. That is not only
astounding but unbelievable.
 Public sector Employment: The office for national Statistics shows
Public sector employment was 5,846,000 (20.4 per cent of all in
employment) in June 2005, 680,000 (13.2 per cent) higher than in June
1998, whereas from 1998 to 2005 private sector employment only rose
by 1,241,000 (5.7 per cent). This growth is unsustainable and wrong.
 Growth: An OECD report shows UK economic growth averaged 2.7%
between 1997 and 2006, lower than in any other English
speaking country.
 Gold sales: Between 1999 and 2002 you sold 60% of the UK's gold
reserves at $275 an ounce, close to a 20-year low, a disastrous foray into
international asset management.
 Your spectrum auctions gathered £22.5 billion for the government
which caused a severe recession in the telecoms development industry
leading to the direct loss of 30,000 UK jobs. Two auctions were run in
the USA, the first being cancelled and re-run (for less revenue) due to
damage caused to the industry. The Americans realised their mistake
and tried to rectify it. The British and German chancellors copied the
North American first auction; which had failed. To copy a failed
economic model is normally considered a serious error of judgement.
 Your East Coast Mainline franchise auction led directly to the demise of
GNER, an excellent company, which was replaced by National Express
who offer East Coast mainline users a significantly poorer service. Your
duty was not only to maximise revenues, you also had a duty to the
shareholders, employees and customers which you completely failed.
 Anti-poverty: The Centre for Policy Studies found that the poorest fifth
of households, which accounted for 6.8% of all taxes in 1996–7,
accounted for 6.9% of all taxes paid in 2004-5. Meanwhile, their share
of state benefit payouts dropped from 28.1% to 27.1% over the same
period.
 Tax: According to the OECD UK taxation has increased from a 39.3%
share of gross domestic product in 1997 to 42.4% in 2006, going to a
higher level than Germany. This increase has mainly been attributed to
active government policy, and not simply to the growing economy.
 You pledged to not increase the basic or higher rates of income tax
however in all but your final budget, you only increased the tax
thresholds in line with inflation, rather than earnings, resulting in fiscal
drag.
 You abolished the 10% tax band so that you could reduce the basic rate
from 22% to 20%, to make it look like you were decreasing taxes.
However in fact it led to increased tax for 5 million people, and, left
those earning under £18,000 as the biggest losers.
 Pensions: Your changes in 1997 in the way corporation tax is collected,
directly led to the taxation of dividends on stock investments held
within pensions, thus lowering pension returns and contributing to the
demise of most of the final salary pension funds in the UK.

 This act alone has single handedly damaged the pension of every
person with a pension in the UK but also saddled UK corporations with
a an ever growing pension liability, so much so that many companies
futures are imperilled by these debts.
 Falsehoods: You used the Laura Spence Affair to beat up Oxford and
Cambridge about their admissions procedures, Lord Jenkins, then
Oxford Chancellor and himself a former Labour Chancellor of the
Exchequer, said "nearly every fact you used was false.
 Inappropriate links: Given the finding that the government did not
carry a proper public consultation on the use of nuclear power in its
2006 Energy Review, your brother Andrew’s is links to one of the main
nuclear lobbyists, EDF Energy could be construed as inappropriate.
 The father-in-law of your closest adviser Ed Balls, Tony Cooper (father
of the Labour minister Yvette Cooper) has close links with the nuclear
industry. Cooper was described as an "articulate, persuasive and wellinformed
advocate of nuclear power over the last ten years" by the
Nuclear Industry Association on his appointment as Chairman of the
British Nuclear Industry Forum in June 2002.
 IraqWar: You supported British involvement in the Iraq War against the
wishes of the UK population and helped to justify that involvement by
publishing false intelligence. This war has directly increased the odds of
terrorist attacks on British subjects and the financial cost has had a
significantly detrimental effect on the British economy.
 Military Covenant: You have not adhered to the 'military covenant',
leading to a significant decline in the moral of the armed forces due to
poor housing, lack of equipment and adequate healthcare provisions.
The lack of equipment has directly led to an increase in the loss of lives,
and serious injuries, compounded by a lack care following serious
injury.
 The 15% VAT Rate: introduced to counter the effects of recession
demonstrated a total naivety and breathtaking stupidity. Far from
digging the nation out of a hole, it has saddled the country with a huge
unsustainable debt.

 No one should benefit from failure: You have on numerous occasions
stated that no one should benefit from failure, however your tenure as
chancellor was universally recognised as a failure, but you were
rewarded with the Premiership and had the gall to accept.
 There will be no more Boom & Bust: In your hubris you made a
statement that was patently untrue, and counter to any economic
theory. You either knew that statement to be untrue and lied or if you
believed it then you clearly demonstrated your foolishness and proved
that you were unfit for office.
 The UK is in a better position than any other developed country: this
again is completely untrue, we have more than double the debt per
head of population than any other country in Europe.
 Public Services: You have destroyed Public Services by a raft of
inappropriate targets, which have led to resources being wasted by the
attempts to meet those targets.
 Surveillance society: You have presided over and led to the creation of
a surveillance society in which any perceived wrongdoing is used as a
pretext to pass oppressive laws. You and your predecessor have both
single headedly succeeded in making the UK an unpleasant place to live
in.
These are but a small sample of your failings any of which make you unfit
for public office and for which you should immediately resign. You sir are a
fraud and I am forwarding this letter to as many people as I can, via the
internet in an effort to shame you into accepting your failures.

This country seems to be headed in the direction of the dark times that saw the creation of Nazi Germany ,stalins Russia and communist China.It is hard to find out what the truth is anymore.Our government doesn't 'work' for us! A bunch of comunists yet they are in league with billionaires and whover riding roughshod over our rights and looking down upon us with scorn.It has taken a long time but now ,slowly,some are waking up to the fact that the EU is all about EXPLOITATION!

Big business just wants to abuse workers.Use them as cattle to be shunted here or there for the biggest profit.Millions of jobs have been 'offshored' and will never come back.Our business leaders and politicians have been undermining the country for years.......with no remorse sacking uk workers and ruining thousands of lives.Why? They always say it is about 'shareholders.' But since when did any board of directors take notice of its shareholders?

Answer?..........NEVER!!!!!

So now we have a situation where we are so imbued with corrupt EU practices that we are almost unable to do anything about it......Gordon talks bollocks and Mandy chimes in too.

So, I go to work today. Word gets round there's a big meeting at 11am. Everybody to be there.

11am comes, about 2,000 men hovering about. It's all about a load of massive contracts on British soil going to foreign workers while the British workers are more skilled, are cheaper and available. Lindsey oil in Grimsby has brought in 300 Italians to do labouring (ie sweeping up etc) meanwhile British people are being laid off in the hundreds of thousands.

So, all the 'blue book' sites up and down the country are walking out, us included.

We phoned Southampton, a blue book site where some of our men are, they hadn't heard of it but that isn't a suprise as they are the only Brits on that particular site anyway. We have a man in ***** which is also full of foreign workers.

Our glorious government is paying Brits to be on the dole to get foreign workers in to sites of national importance. If we don't stand now, there'll be nobody left to stand.

Apparently nobody will be made redundant due to foreign workers coming in, which is a total sham.

The way it works is, we work on one site, for me it's currently ............. Over the last few months as the contract here neared completion lads have been laid off, around 1,200 or so have gone. Normally, these lads would end up at the next contract which in this case is Lindsey oil, I remember talking with a few of the laid off lads and they knew lindsey was coming up.

Now, they will remain out of work due to the allocation of these contracts to foreign workers. Our lads already have the skills needed and are local, so no training costs and no transportation costs. So, if it doesn't make economic sense for them to bring these people in, so it must be a political decision. Hence here is where we stand.

These aren't slack times, there are plenty of jobs available, just they are going to foreign workers when our workers are better and more cost effective.

friday 30 jan
Went to work this morning, traffic backed up at one gate, went to next gate, just the same. Going in normally takes a minute, this morning it took 35 minutes.

There were about 500 men on the main gate and I'm told about a 100 men on each of the other gates. They were chatting with us as we went in, walking in front of the car, just to slow it all down.

There was one lone copper there saying 'come on get in keep going'

Yesterday, a company called Tolents who are under a different union to the main lot ended up staying working. Someone must have made a note as every single one of them got their car kicked on the way in this morning. Turns out they were told if they walk off they'd be out of a job simple as that. They weren't working this morning, just waiting for their union rep, I think they'll be coming out nationally as well.

We were sat in the cabin just reading the papers but as soon as we heard of the car kicking we were straight out, just aint worth it.

I think this is gonna get a lot bigger yet, feelings are definitely running high. They're talking of bussing men down to Grimsby in the thousands to picket the gate and stop the Italians getting in. It could end up bigger than the miners strike this.
Something is being planned.They are a good set of lads but they are fighting for their future and the future of the British worker, they are fighting for their sons and daughters futures.

This is definitely a fight worth fighting.

A long time ago, i used to work for a well known City Bond Trading firm.
We had offices all over the world.
The salespeople got commission on every trade-up to 2%.

When i started there was a terrible financial crisis going on in Argentina.
Inflation was rampant and everyones savings were being destroyed.
(ring any bells)?

Several times people walked into the Buenos Aires office with briefcases containing
$1 million or more. They were so desperate to buy an asset denominated in U.S dollars that they didn't care about the commission.
Some had even swum along the River Plate to avoid the authorities!!!!!!!

Forget what the ass hole politicians and many economists say.......jim rogers is right.
If you have any money then get it out asap!

ps you may need to start swimming training sooner than you imagine!

Over the last few years it would seem not.Some people i know bought £1million plus homes.

But let's take amore sensible look.
For the sake of using easy numbers let's say that the average salary in the country is £25,000 p.a. Therefore a million Pounds is A WHOLE LIFETIME OF A PERSONS WORKING INCOME.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(40X25,000) AND THAT IS OF COURSE BEFORE TAX!!!!!!!!!!

So the next time you hear of 'a billionhere/a billion there, work out how many peoples WHOLE LIVES ARE BEING SACRIFICED !!!!!!!!

JOB CREATION_BROWN STYLE

As some of you will know-i am currently unemployed. I used to work in the City and i read over xmas that in 2008 there were 63,000 jobs lost. So i am now on a training course in Southend.
At the YMCA centre.

It is to supposedly motivate me and help me get back to work.
The only problem is .....it is like beng at junior school.

Nearly every 'client' wants to go to work but Southend seems to be a real jobs blackspot.
Quite why this should be so is a bit of a mystery. As is the terrible pay on offer.
Just 48 minutes to London by train the average salary seems to be £12-15,000...........
Considering the price of housing and rents (ie £550 per month for a 1 bed flat) the money on offer doesn't really excite anyone.

Like myself most are resigned to starting at the bottom again,but the jobs on offer are for carers (that really can be working at the bottom),security guards,charity fundraisers and call centre 'operatives.'

The problem with these jobs is that they are menial-with no hope of climbing the slippery slope.Therefore anyone with an ounce of intelligence (27 grams) is not needed.

Therefore i think self-employment is going to be the route for me.

Which brings me to todays STAR job**************

as some of you may know i am stuck on a ymca training course.along with hundreds of others.we come from all walks of life.

a young lad of 25 was sitting next to me.he was looking at his cv.he said that he had only had crap jobs since leaving school.the last two of which were sales.
'i've sold this and that,loans,grants.power-but i can't go back to it.nobody wants to speak to you-especially at 8 in the morning.....i have been shouted at,sworn at and i am sick of it'

'but i have to get something as i have two nippers'.

Here's a funny story about what really goes on in Throgmorton Street.The names of the innocent have been changed......

A long time ago my friend,Bill,went out on the lash on a friday lunchtime with his old flat mate Ben.

After a few pints of 'old wallop' they got on to the large Southamptons and by 4 'o'clock were well and truly hammered.

Ben worked at the BOE and said he could show Bill around.So they went down into the vaults to look at the gold..Ben decided that he had to relieve himself and went off to the loo,leaving Bill in the vaults admiring what was left.( after a gay scots twat sold most of it at a discount).

Somehow Ben forgot Bill was downstairs and staggered off to the train station.

By this time Bill had fallen asleep.When he woke up he found himself trapped in the dark.

After some time spent bumping around he managed to find a small window, where, standing on tip-toe, he managed to get a signal on his mobile phone.

Ben was awoken by his Nokia just as his train was pulling in to the Essex coast!

'Ben-it's me Bill'

'where are you old boy' replied Ben.

You may have heard that legislation creating compulsory ID Cards passed a crucial stage in the House of Commons. You may feel that ID cards are not something to worry about, since we already have Photo ID for our Passport and Driving License and an ID Card will be no different to that.

What you have not been told is the full scope of this proposed ID Card, and what it will mean to you personally.

The proposed ID Card will be different from any card you now hold. It will be connected to a database called the NIR, (National Identity Register) where all of your personal details will be stored. This will include the unique number that will be issued to you, your fingerprints, a scan of the back of your eye, and your photograph. Your name, address and date of birth will also obviously be stored there.

There will be spaces on this database for your religion, residence, sexual tastes, number of partners, medical records status and many other private and personal facts about you. There is unlimited space for every other details of your life on the NIR database, which can be expanded by the Government with or without further Acts of Parliament.

By itself, you might think that this register is harmless, but you would be wrong to come to this conclusion. This new card will be used to check your identity against your entry in the register in real time, whenever you present it to 'prove who you are'.

Every place that sells alcohol or cigarettes, every post office, every chemist, and every Bank will have an NIR Card Terminal, (very much like the Chip and Pin Readers that are everywhere now) into which your card can be 'swiped' to check your identity. Each time this happens, a record is made at the NIR of the time and place that the Card was presented. This means for example, that there will be a government record of every time you withdraw more than �99 at your branch of Nat West, who now demand ID for these transactions. Every time you have to prove that you are over 18, your card will be swiped, and a record made at the NIR. Restaurants and off licences will demand that your card is swiped so that each receipt shows that they sold alcohol to someone over 18, and that this was proved by the access to the NIR, indemnifying them from prosecution.

Private businesses are going to be given access to the NIR Database. If you want to apply for a job, you will have to present your card for a swipe.

If you want to apply for a London Underground Oyster Card,or a supermarket loyalty card, or a driving licence you will have to present your ID Card for a swipe. The same goes for getting a telephone line or a mobile phone or an internet account.

Oyster, DVLA, BT and Nectar (for example) all run very detailed databases of their own. They will be allowed access to the NIR, just as every other business will be. This means that each of these entities will be able to store your unique number in their database, and place all your travel, phone records, driving activities and detailed shopping habits under your unique NIR number. These databases, which can easily fit on a storage device the size of your hand, will be sold to third parties either legally or illegally. It will then be possible for a non governmental entity to create a detailed dossier of all your activities.

Certainly, the government will have clandestine access to all of them, meaning that they will have a complete record of all your movements, from how much and when you withdraw from your bank account to what medications you are taking, down to the level of what sort of bread you eat � all accessible via a single unique number in a central database.

This is quite a significant leap from a simple ID Card that shows your name and face.

Most people do not know that this is the true character and scope of the proposed ID Card. Whenever the details of how it will work are explained to them, they quickly change from being ambivalent towards it. The Government is going to COMPEL you to enter your details into the NIR and to carry this card. If you and your children want to obtain or renew your passports, you will be forced to have your fingerprints taken and your eyes scanned for the NIR, and an ID Card will be issued to you whether you want one or not. If you refuse to be fingerprinted and eye scanned, you will not be able to get a passport.

Your ID Card will, just like your passport, not be your property. The Home Secretary will have the right to revoke or suspend your ID at any time, meaning that you will not be able to withdraw money from your Bank Account, for example, or do anything that requires you to present your government issued ID Card.

The arguments that have been put forwarded in favour of ID Cards can be easily disproved. ID Cards WILL NOT stop terrorists; every Spaniard has a compulsory ID Card as did the C.I.A Madrid Bombers. ID Cards will not 'eliminate benefit fraud', most of which is done by government by withholding due payments, which in comparison, is small compared to the astronomical cost of this proposal, which will be measured in billions according to the LSE (London School of Economics).

This scheme exists solely to exert total surveillance and control over the ordinary free British Citizen, and it will line the pockets of the companies that will create the computer systems at the expense of your freedom, privacy and money.

If you did not know the full scope of the proposed ID Card Scheme before and you are as unsettled as I am at what it really means to you, to this country and its way of life, I urge you to email or photocopy this and give it to your friends and colleagues and everyone else you think should know and who cares. The Bill has proceeded to this stage due to the lack of accurate and complete information on this proposal being made public.

We can inform the entire nation if everyone who receives this passes it on.

Well if we believe the BBC then the whole country is ecstatic about team GB winning all those Olympic cycling medals.So i was wondering if the proles will look more favourably upon us that go cycling? About 8 years ago i was nearly killed by a car driver and last year a car driver cut me up at a set of traffic lights.The result being agonising pain in my shoulder and many visits to sports massage therapists and my local hospital!

And yes i do drive a car.I have had my license for 30 years and never had an accident.Yet two wheels is a different kettle of fish.I had a motorbike and got knocked off that too!

Tianenmen Square looks lovely with its flower displays and the residue of human remains from when the tanks crushed people to death in their tents has been washed away.

The opening ceremoney will be boring and so will the closing version and then we will be running headlong into the build up for the Banana republic games in 2012.

During the bit in the middle Sue Barker will gush (something Lloydy couldn't get her to do) -Brendan will be talking about the 'kross kuntry' and Gordon Brown will give a pep talk to the uk team thus condemning them to coming last in everything except flower arranging and gurning!

Talking of Gurning it seems that Gordon Brown must have phoned Paula Ratcliffe to wish her well as she now has a fractured leg!!!!

Cant wait till it finishes and we move on to London where the new sport of chasing rats and cockroaches out of hospitals and dance marathons will show the rest of the globe what a marvellous multi-cultural shining beacon of democracy we live in.

OK. Yes i am a sad git.Iwent to another punch up,er boot sale, on sunday morning.You can see what friendly affairs they are on the right! As i was searching for bargains i noticed some geezer asking this woman if she minded being filmed.
On i strode marching up and down hunting my quarry.I saw something of interest and started to rifle through a box of goodies.At this point i began to notice a camera and then i saw the doyen of the BBC car booty show,lorne spicer.(no i didnt know her name- i had to look it up).

Well she did a little skit about buying (and haggling) for a fishing rod! (5 ? she's offering me 5 ? For this rod)?

Now comes the tricky bit.She didnt actually buy it. It was all pretend!
No money was actually spent.No Sea Fishing rod was actually purchased.
They asked the bloke if they could film and he went along with it!
It was shot 3 times so i am sure they will make a nice little film out it.

Now some of you more kindly souls may think this is harmless.......maybe........
but what about all the other BBC programs?
Is Panorama to be trusted?
Why is it that there are always news articles supporting Gordon Brown ?
Why aren't there films of people voicing their disapproval of said commie freeloader?

When i got home and checked the net for news the sunday telegraph was running a story about how tv programmes made with backing from the government were being pumped out on ITV !!!!

hello again....back online.it took bt/open reach 43 days to put my line in..........even more spectacular when i already had a line attached to my flat!So now bt/open reach do do want to accept responsibility.Dontcha just love our monopolies?BT offered me 39 pence per day! I told them i wanted £30 per day as i believe this is the standard amount utility firms have to pay.
A bitch from BT told me i had to accept their terms and conditions.........a letter to the ombudsman is going to have to be sent.................

The BOE has stated that they will want steep discounts on the mortgage backed bonds they will accept as collateral for gilts.......the terms are quite severe so why would a bank want to accept such 'haircuts'?It is said, that in Germany, Deutsche Bank are trying to get private funds to buy their junk.

Looking at things logically if a bank could not get any hedge funds or billionaires to help them out then surely going to the BOE would be a sign that their 'assets' were so bad that nobody wanted to touch them?

This would imply to me that a bank having to accept the BOE emergency facility would in fact be a bank in exceptionally dire financial straights>just wait for the first rumour of a bank going to the Old Lady and watch the stampede to sell.......

An African Lion (Panthera Leo) was shipped to centrally located Kâmpóng Chhnãng especially for the event, which took place last Saturday, April 30, 2005 in the city’s coliseum.
The Cambodian Government allowed the fight to take place, under the condition that they receive a 50% commission on each ticket sold, and that no cameras would be allowed in the arena.
The fight was called in only 12 minutes, after which 28 fighters were declared dead, while the other 14 suffered severe injuries including broken bones and lost limbs, rendering them unable to fight back.
Sihamoni was quoted before the fight stating that he felt since his fighters out-numbered the lion 42 to 1, that they “… could out-wit and out-muscle [it].”

It seems that the 'free market' govt. is going to bail out the banks.

If you have read my earlier articles you will know that the so called AAA assets are in fact at this moment totally worthless because NOBODY wants to buy them.Of course there may be some private funds who are willing to take a punt but would want a huge discount.These people didn't get rich by being financially naive.

With only offers in the market and no bids how will the BOE judge where to value the junk they are taking on board in return for OUR money?How will these products be marked to market?

Will the bank set the prices or will they accept a valuation from a high street shylock?

Will the lending highwaymen value their assets at 80 (ie 80% of face value, just because there is an offer at this level on a brokers screen) or will they be willing to accept a lower valuation which is more realistic of 20 ?

Who will ensure that the prices are fair?How can the banks be allowed to set the value when they have a track record of fiddling revaluations?What about asking Credit Suisse......?.

ps will the BOE be accepting only Sterling denominated Issues for products involving UK only mortgages?

will be required.My mole in the City tells me that his bank have not been allowed to buy corporate bonds since last September.There are offers on broker screens,probably at the prices that the sellers are long at,but no bids.So how are bonds with no bids valued?Surely they should be valued at ZERO? My friend was called to head office where the chairman insisted that the american bombs (sic) they owned were worth 21% of face value...The mole had to explain that he thought they were worth only 7%!!!!!!!

Think about that for a moment.

For every $1,000,000 they had 'invested' the current value is $70,000!

And these people are supposed to be experts?

How will the BOE get a decent discount on bonds priced at 7.00?

It has been mooted that the the Old Lady will 'swap' gilts for mortgage backed trash.The BBC reported that the bonds would have a maturity of one-year - and therefore would not be counted as part of the national debt. ANOTHER subversion of the truth.

Teenager cautioned for wiping snot on David Cameron's back.
David Cameron encountered an unusual hazard of the political walkabout when a teenager sneezed into his hand and wiped its contents on the Tory leader's back.

Kingsley Cardi, 15, was given a caution by police for "wiping snot" on the back of Mr Cameron's jacket today.

Kingsley mumbled "oh sorry" after the incident
The GCSE student, an aspiring singer, approached the politician as he was walking through the Priory Meadow Shopping Centre in Hastings, East Sussex.He sneezed into his hand, wiped it on Mr Cameron's back and then mumbled "oh sorry" as the Tory leader turned round to see what had happened. A police community support officer intervened and gave the teenager a slip cautioning him for "anti-social behaviour towards David Cameron, namely sneezing on your hand and wiping snot down the back of his jacket". Yesterday Brown met up with bankers round at Goldman Sachs.Is it me or does it seem odd that he should be slipping in round there when he has recently appointed goldy employess to work for him on the lying(spin) front?

The big banks apparently told mcbean that the small building societies would have to stop lending and then up pops the boss of west bromwich b.s to deny that.(see my earlier story).

He said that no b.societies were at the meeting.......hmmm

SO WHO IS TELLING THE TRUTH? (I KNOW WHO MY MONEY IS ON)

Now besides the lies it seems that the BOE is to start accepting illiquid bonds from the aforementioned banks........this is very worrying as in the U.S the very same bankers have been using some very dirty tricks.Banks and broker dealers are bundling up high-yield, high-risk corporate loans for which there is no market into Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) for the express purpose of swapping with the Fed. This is just the kind of thing that leads to more abuse and more mistrust, and the Fed's balance sheet is rapidly filling up with garbage.

This must not be allowed to happen here. Having seen the Northern crock debacle i have no confidence that anyone in the govt. BOE or FSA will have a bleedin clue as to what could happen and the public will be faced with an even bigger mountain of debt than the piles of geordie mortgages they are already underwriting.

Surely not the big high street banks that want to stuff the BOE with illiquid mortgage backed crap?Surely not so that they can make even more money at the tax-payers expense?

In the last couple of months, there has been increased worry that mark-to-market accounting leads to the operation of a destructive "financial accelerator." As prevailing values go down, banks have to lower the value of their holdings. This leads to a direct hit to their net worth, which will lead them to contract their balance sheets, either by withholding credit or selling assets. More sales in a weak market lead to further declines in the prices of financial instruments, leading to more writedowns and sales of inventory.Funny how no one had a problem with mark-to-market when asset prices were rising.But now the SEC has given banks and brokers a huge out. No matter how small or easily absorbed by the market a forced sale might be (think of a hedge fund hit by a margin call), a financial institution can ignore the price realized. In fact, they get to determine what trades constitute a forced sale.Moreover, we've seen plenty of unintended consequences, or worse, backfires, as regulators intervene trying to alleviate the credit crisis. Banks have been reluctant to extend credit to each other precisely because they don't trust their creditworthiness. That's tantamount to saying they already don't trust their public financial statements, since according to their public filings, virtually all major financial institutions have more than the required statutory capital.So this move, to stem the balance-sheet-shrinking impact of mark-to-market accounting in a falling price environment, may further undermine liquidity. Companies will less able to judge whether their published financials are telling the whole story, And where the numbers are in doubt, rumors are taken more seriously.

Let's sum this all up. Corporations were happy to mark to market as long as asset prices were going up. This led to more loans on top of loans as corporations were making huge profits, at least on paper. Enormous bonuses were handed out based on those paper profits and corporations leveraged up loans.Now we see those profits were nothing but a mirage.Of course everyone knew those earnings were a mirage even at the time, but as long as the party was going on, no one wanted to spoil it, especially the Fed and the SEC. So the SEC looked away, and so did the Fed, and so did investors who were happy with everything as long as stock prices were going up.In the asymmetrical world of the Fed and the SEC bubbles are never prevented, but everything is done to prevent them from busting. Now the SEC is openly inviting corporations to lie.Disclosure that was fine on the way up is somehow not fine on the way down.

Olympics minister Tessa Jowell has admitted to concern about the Chinese "flame attendants".
Jowell said she was uneasy at reports of Chinese bodyguards' heavy handed behaviour when they accompanied the Beijing Olympic torch in London.
She added that no decision had yet been made about London 2012's torch relay.
The role of the menacing blue-tracksuited attendants led to controversy after their handling of pro-Tibet protests in London and Paris earlier this month.
The minister is not the first person to raise questions about the torch's bodyguards. Channel 4 News inadvertently heard London 2012 chairman Sebastian Coe refer to them as "thugs" in a private phonecall with a member of his staff.
Jowell said: "I wouldn't have stopped the protests. I suppose, though, we might have taken some responsibility for some aspects of the convoy, the boys in the blue tracksuits, and laid down rules on how they conducted themselves."
She added: "I didn't like some of the reports I have heard of their heavy-handed behaviour.
"Obviously, the experience we have learned from this event will form the basis about whether we have our own international torch relay. But no decision has been taken yet."

Presently G.Brown and Captain Darling are reportedly begging the High Street Shylocks' to pass on the interest rate cuts of the past seven months.The Banks say that they have to borrow in 'the market' and that LIBOR has been rising because of demand.The UK banks have made between £35 BILLION to £40 BILLION profits each year during the last 5 years.Where did all the money go?Did they save any for a rainy day?Were they prudent?

They bleat that they do not have enough money to lend.Why do they think that they have a devine right to make a profit?
If i start a business and get into trouble do you think that i could go along to the BOE and cry that it wasn't my fault and demand that the tax payer should top up my profits?

Many commentators in the dead tree press have been seduced by the system and are clamouring for the BOE to help out .They say that the 'whole system ' is in danger of collapse if the Banks fail and that bank closures would result in thousands of job losses.
Let's take a look at the altruism shown by the money lenders.The recent takeovers(they call it 'consolidation' )of smaller banks has lead to branch closures and many job losses.ie Many Woolwich branches now lie deserted after being bought by Barclays. On top of this, the offshoring of IT and call centre work has also drastically cut employee numbers.The average salary at a modern day mill,sorry,uk call centre seems to be a miserly £12-£15 thousand a year.So much for the caring banks!

They scream about open markets and de-regulation yet when they make a balls (so what)? up
then they want US, yes ,US, to carry the can.

They claim that they have many illiquid assets (cdo's,sivs etc) on their books which are preventing them from full functionality.Who may i ask bought these so-called assets?

The clever traders and fund managers who all tell each other how wonderful they are.

Surely it is just an urban myth that some children do not know where our food comes from or in fact don't know their apples from their pears?

On one of jamie olivers programs' he did in a school he asked the children to name different vegetables...many couldn't which was quite amusing but they were quite young.

All of us will have noticed the rapid increases in food prices recently.With the govt. telling us that inflation is 2.5 % but the reality is more like 20% some of the natives have become restless as they are up their gills in debt. Soaring energy costs have fed into higher food prices and there have been many riots in indonesia,egypt,haiti etc.Many of these 3rd world countries have a much more agriculural economy than we have in the UK....

We have an incredible variety of food in our shops,yet most of it is imported.
According to reports there are only 6 weeks of rice and 6 weeks of wheat left in reserve in the whole world.....in London it has been said that there are only 2 DAYS left.........!!!!!

think about it for a minute.......where does our food come from?Peppers grown in greenhouses in Holland,Lamb from the antipodes,Beer from Germany( not a necessity but good fun)- just what would happen to our country if these countries had to stop exporting food to feed their own?
The major rice growers are already stopping or curbing exports.

Better start digging for victory........
Which might be a good idea if the whole of the south east wasn't covered in housing and roads.

Now there i was just yesterday thinking that i haven't seen anything about immigration on the blogs recently and perhaps i should add my thoughts......then up pops Guido with an article and the web lights up.......It is probably true that many of us in the uk have some foreign blood in us.My family are mentioned in the Domesday book and come mainly from East Anglia.To my fathers surprise his great grandfather was Russian.

I have been lucky enough to visit many countries in the world and met many wonderful people.
I can understand that people would want to relocate for either financial reasons or to escape wars.Many claim asylum in this country from thousands of miles away after crossing many borders and paying criminals for the journey.Should we harbour them?

From out of the blue, boris johnson says there should be an amnesty for illegal immigrants....
So is it a good idea?
Well besides london and the south east being full up with almost no countryside left should we object?

Well i say yes.......firstly they are ILLEGAL!
They have avoided the official requirements therefore committing an illegal act.........
Why did they circumvent the rules?

What will we give an amnesty for next? Burglary?rape?murder?

It is condoning more people to come here illegally by saying that it's ok to do whatever you want because we dont enforce our laws........
If i go and park on a yellow line and get a parking ticket do you think i will get an amnesty?

Also a point which has not really been explored is that illegal immigration is unfair on those that do abide by the rules(usual thing in the uk).

I met a girl on holiday from a non-EU country and after about 3 years she decided to come and live here.....to get a visa for her i had to fill in countless forms,have a copy of my passport attested by a solicitor,produce several months of pay slips and i think six months bank statements.On top of this i had to pay a fee of £300 and she had to go for an interview at her local british embassy............

IT WOULD SEEM THAT TO BREAK THE LAW IS EASIER THAN TO OBEY IT.

The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) "acted unlawfully" when it dropped an investigation into arms deals between BAE systems, Europe's largest defence company, and Saudi Arabia, the High Court ruled today.

What would you say if i could get you into a business that never loses money and if it does then you wont personally lose because everyone else in the country will pay for you?

So what is the business?
Well it isn't new,it's not exciting internet poker or trading futures.
It's mortgages.

It is a tried and tested market where everyone trades from a long position and then they all sing from the same song sheet.Strangely, until very recently,banks said property was a great investment ,stockbrokers and funds piled into anything they could buy or develop and commercial propery was red hot.Co- conspirators filled the tv schedules with programmes about property...buy a house with sarah b,buy another house with dom the used car salesman,buy a home with the bird from the Scottish widows ad(who owns scottish widows i wonder)?
Then there are buy this place and spend a bundle on it while you live in a caravan,buy somewhere in the Gobi desert etc-( two bedroom yurts are VERY popular i hear)the list is almost endless.If repeats were included then the mind boggles....

So - we have a very strong message being pushed by extremely vested interests......
Some other mantras were/are....affordability and shortages.......one pretending that spending perhaps half of ones salary on keeping a roof over ones head was a NORMAL thing to do and the latter telling us that we must buy property because there isn't any where to live....
this of course is a lie.In the uk there are approx. 1million EMPTY homes..yes.1million.......

But the dream sellers want us all to buy homes on new estates at inflated prices so that THEY can make lots of money.......quelle surprise.bigger mortgages ,bigger fees.......better get on the ladder quickly as immigration is making property scarce..

As the banks are keen to relieve us of our money they decided to lend up to 10 times what people could afford and many took advantage of this.Therefore a wall of money was thrown at the housing market pushing it to ever crazier levels....To rent seems to be a waste of money and also very expensive,therefore more people rushed to get into the market in case they were left behind.......now here's the clever bit if you are a bank........

Having created a good old fashioned short squeeze which has worked better than anything the Bunker-Hunts could do in the 70's (look it up-I shall give you a clue-it's not cockney rhyming slang) they had the public by the short and curlies.

And here is the really great bit.When the punters cant pay anymore due to a myriad of reasons the listening,caring,shafting bank re-possesses the property and the low lifes get thrown out on their ears.What happens to them?
Well they have to find somewhere to live.That somewhere is usually a rented property.The majority are not working or on very low wages (the reason they couldn't pay the mortgage) so they have to claim housing benefit.

Now the reallllllly great thing...........who pays out for all the housing benefit?
yessssssssssssssssss.the tax payer.........!!!!!!!
game set and match! The Banks get away with manipulating the market cashing in big time and if it goes tits then they get away scot free with no responsibility...........ooooo yea...........

On top of this, when a person takes out a mortgage they pay back 2 maybe 3 times the initial sum.Can everybody see now why the banks were so keen to get into the mortgage biz in the late eighties and ever since?

IT IS THESE SAME BANKS WHO ARE NOW LOBBYING THE BANK OF ENGLAND TO BUY FROM THEM DISTRESSED BONDS THAT THEY HAVE LANGUISHING ON THEIR BOOKS.

For too long the british people have remained cowered in their over-priced homes,not wishing to do anyhting other than watch eastenders or coronation st.The 'celebration' of the olympic torch yesterday has stirred something in our blood and not before time.China was awarded the games seven years ago so i find it a little surprising that all of a sudden we seem to be upset that China kills Tibetans -a country it invaded 50 years ago.However the thing that summed it all up for me was the pathetic statements made by tessa jowell....in her weird university debating chamber world this event was not an endorsement of China......Lets see...... a 31 mile march through 10 boroughs with many athletes and so called personalities carrying the flame.A bunch of Chinese secret police,(what good runners they were!) 2000 coppers,some on bikes,ALL on overtime,countless 'specials' ,road blocks,railings etc all seemed to me a VERY STRONG endorsement of totalitarianism.By allowing this YOU CONDONED CHINA TOTALLY YOU SILLY COW! Of course the PM (by default-he wasnt elected remember) didn't actually touch the flame and had his fingers and toes crossed and also had a lucky rabbits foot in his pocket so HE SHOWED HIS SOLIDARITY WITH THE PEOPLE OF TIBET AND THE CHINESE REALLY GOT THE MESSAGE! it 's a funny old world isn't it? I watched francesca martinez on the tv the other night and she spoke about integrity(if you don't know who she is look it up)! Then we have some Tibetans making a stand...then finally we have some Brits standing up to Hypocrisy.....

It's a shame it took a brave girl with cerebral pausy and some buddhists to wake us from our slumber but it's a start!

It would seem that suddenly the world has woken up to the fact that china annexed tibet some years ago...now there are people up in arms about the olympic flame being paraded through the streets of london.Why now? Take a look at the balance of trade deficit with china.We import incredible amounts of goods from the 'evil' chinese without a whimper.Also a vast amount of goods imported from japan are in fact made in china. Yet i have NOT heard of any protests about chinese imports.it seems we have selected indignation.......

hello and welcome to my island of sanity on the web.
I really hate what is going on in the u.k. Our politicians,mps,civil servants are mainly NOT interested in serving us,the people, but just helping THEMSELVES.I am sick to death of the way our politicians behave and they need to be dragged into an ADULT world where there is no hiding behind ancient conventions or privilege and we,the people who pay the bills,actually get what WE require of OUR SERVANTS!

Firstly we need to make these people accountable.If they break the law then they must suffer the consequences.We have a house of 600 odd fat cats milking us for every penny that they can.
There is no way that the so called opposition parties will be able to call a vote of no confidence because they are ALL up to the same scams.

Therefore i think we have to do something about it.So what can we do? Do we have to wait until Gordon Brown wants to call an election or can we vote them out?Is there a way that we the people can get rid of them by legal means other than the usual elections?In court?By a special vote?If anyone knows how this can be done then please contact me asap..If it comes to forming a new political party then maybe it will be the only option.

Our country is the laughing stock of the world and our Parliament is a sick joke........
we need change NOW.
